The
West Ohio Development Council is a nonprofit organization composed
of business and community leaders dedicated to the economic growth
of the West Ohio area. The council works with businesses interested
in locating and expanding in the Shelby County community, which
is committed to economic growth and development. Helping new businesses
locate industrial sites and resolving issues associated with the
relocation process is one of the council's major objectives.
There
are several local and state incentive assistance programs available
to new and expanding industry. Programs range from the abatement
of local real and tangible personal property taxes to credits against
state corporate franchise taxes.
